About APCA

During recent years this association has been responsible for organising and coordinating the Portuguese Adventure Racing Championship - Portugal Eco Aventura; for creating and organising the University Adventure League - Liga Universitária de Aventura and for conceiving and teaching technical sports courses on Adventure Racing for the Portuguese Orienteering Federation, including courses on Managing Races, Supervision, Timing, Route Planning, Rope Handling and Risk Management.

Since December 2006 APCA, with the support of the Tourism Board of the Estoril Coast (Junta de Turismo da Costa do Estoril) and Cascais Town Council have organised the Estoril Portugal eXPeDition Event on the Estoril Coast and in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The 2007 edition was the first year this race was included in the World Circuit of the ARWS.
